Above Tree Line

Above Tree Line

It's quiet in the space above the trees.

In stillness she recognizes the endless motion of wind.

Breath.

Places one foot, finds purchase against cool, gritty Earth,

She advances.

Gains ground in long strides

Closes the gap

Abandons gravity

Disregards rationale

Overturns history

Upends assumption
